Guitar Course - Guitar Ensemble
Guitarists is it time to take the training wheels off? Would you like to take your guitar playing to the next level but have a road block with your current practice method and feel you would gain more experience playing with others but dont have the confidence.
This 10 week course is for guitar players who are seeking to improve playing and performance by playing collaboratively with other guitarist. With a strong emphasis on group participation each week will focus on new elements of playing songs, including chord progressions, rhythm and stumming, open and barre chord harmony, playing melody and sight reading, improvisation, soloing and bass lines. You will improve your theoretical understanding of guitar playing by covering major, minor and pentatonic scales, diatonic chord progressions and theory, composition and arrangement, with emphasises on left and right hand technique for producing good tone, rhythm and balance.
This guitar course is a great opportunity to improve your all round playing and confidence. Students who enroll for the Adult Guitar Course will be able to attend the Music Theory Course for Adults, 8pm Wednesday evening, free of charge.
