RHYTHM COURSES
This 10 week course is intended to complement the students music studies. Over the last couple of years I have noticed a real need and benefit for the students to gain experience practicing and understanding rhythm as an autonomous part of musical development. So I am so pleased to announce the inclusion of KATZMUSIC first rhythm based course. This course is for anyone who would like to develop a stronger understanding and feel of rhythm. The course covers both theory based and practical elements of rhythm.
COURSE CONTENT
- Music Theory - Note duration, note groupings and rests.
- Meters and Timing
- Time Signatures
- Clapping of simple and complex rhythms
- Rhythmic interpretation of melody
- Polyrhythms and Hemiolas
- The human drum kit - group performance
- Percusive Instrumentation

Private casual classes in Rhythm Course are $40.00 per class, however a 70% discount applies if you enroll for a Rhythm Course and pay in full in advance.
